Cz Idpa Legal Pistol
I would like to get a CZ for IDPA. It seems that the weight rule cancels out the Shadow 2. 1) Is there a current cataloged weapon that would be legal? An optically adapted P10f would be a very versatile IDPA pistol. Depending on the mods, you can shoot ssp esp and co. Prepare it for a P10c optics and you can shoot ssp, esp, co and ccp through careful modifications. I started photographing IDPA a little over three and a half years ago, and like most shooters who are new to the sport, I started photographing in the SSP division. My weapon of choice was a Smith and Wesson M&P Pro 9mm, a very common pistol in the SSP division. My M&P Pro shot perfectly, was always accurate, has a decent trigger and no malfunction. The biggest problem I`ve had with my M&P is that they`re everywhere. Whenever I went to a big state game or even a small local game, no matter which direction I looked, I would find another shooter with an M&P in their case. It`s bad enough that everyone at IDPA has to wear the same dorky vests, I don`t need matching weapons either. There`s absolutely nothing wrong with matching guns, and that says really much about the gun produced by Smith and Wesson, but I wanted to be different and try something new, so my search for a new competitive weapon began.
My desire to find the perfect gun led me to the CZ 75 Shadow SA. Does anyone know exactly if a Shadow 1 target is particularly legal? A good versatile gun for IDPA is the CZ 75SP01 Shadow 1. It doesn`t have cannon pen safety, so it`s easy to get a good trigger on these weapons. Start the COF with the hammer down and pull it into the Stock Service Pistol (SSP) department. Start the tight COF with the hammer and the thumb guard intervenes and pulls it into the ESP (Enhanced Service Pistol) department. I thought I remembered things about full-length dust guns that first had to be legal ssp, and if you bought 1 which was ssp legal, you could then cut the sled to allow for adjustable visor installation and that would be especially legal. This would be my choice for a CZ weapon in different divisions of the IDPA. Add an optics and shoot the same gun in the CARRY Optics Division (CO). Rowdy, you can get one of these frames: czcustom.com/new-firearms/cz-pistols-custom/cz-75-parts-kit-frame.html Go to the CZ website and find out the features of the different guns they sell.
Next, refer to the IDPA`s “Equipment Rules” section on their website to see which gun is best for the division you want to participate in. You cannot make a CZ SAO gun and use it in the SSP department of the IDPA. But you can use it in the ESP department if it`s been switched to SAO, or even if it`s SA/DA) And I didn`t even mention polymer guns like the P-07, P-09, and P-10. No weapon ever comes out of the box perfectly, so to make the shadow work the way I wanted, I had to make some modifications. First of all, the Shadow SA comes with CZ plastic handles and they just don`t feel good, in fact they fear God, especially when it`s a hot, sweaty day. I switched to a set of CZ rubber handles and it gave a much more positive grip on the gun and escaped the feeling of cheap plastic. To give a little more weight to the nose, I dropped the plastic guide rod for a stainless steel rod and noticed a slight difference. One complaint I had with the Shadow was the trigger, although better than a 75 stick, it was still a bit heavy and had a slightly muddy fracture. I opted for a lighter main spring and to be sure, I added an elongated ignition pin for a little extra assurance. This reduced the weight closer to 3.5 pounds, but the break still didn`t seem right.
Then I traded the hammer for a CZ Custom competition hammer and it made a big difference. After installing the hammer, I am now at a Sub 3.0lb trigger pull with a very sharp break. In my opinion, this is perhaps the best semi-automatic trigger I`ve ever felt. Once the trigger was finally set to my liking, I added CZ Custom`s IDPA Legal Magwell to take some time on my refills. I don`t know if the Magwell helped me shave my refills, but it looks damn cool, so maybe I`ll have some much needed style points. The shape of the Magwell requires the use of CZ SP01 mags with greater capacity and custom CZ base plates. After some modifications, I couldn`t have asked for a better weapon. CZ produced a very impressive firearm with the CZ 75 SA. CZ Custom has made it a masterpiece with its Shadow series. I`m not going to lie, they`re chickadees! You`ll see a good chunk of CZ in a game, but the majority of them are SP01 with the full-length dust cover and DA/SA shutter release. SP01 is legal in ESP and SSP, but according to IDPA rules, you must trigger your first double action.
Here, I really think the Shadow SA has a big advantage over the SP01 in the ESP division. Compared to the Shadow SA, the SP01 also feels a bit heavy on the nose due to the full-length dust cover. I just remember seeing another CZ 75 SA at one of the many games I participated in. So if you want to discover one of IDPA`s best kept secrets and get some of these style points, call CZ Custom and order a CZ 75 Shadow SA. You will not be disappointed. It`s a good plan, but fortunately, it`s not me looking for their LEGAL IDPA weapon from the CZ, like op hahaha. Although this allowed me to have some rarer P01 variants for CCP in mind. CZ Custom or Cajun Gun Works does a great job on these guns. czcustom.com/new-firearms/cz-pistols-factory/cz-75-sp01-shadow-9mm-91154-black-cz-custom-exclusive.html.
